Zelio Starts Production in Hisar, Lifting Annual Capacity to 3.12 Lakh Units
Zelio’s fourth manufacturing facility adds annual capacity for 48,000 electric two-wheelers and 24,000 three-wheelers.
Zelio E-Mobility has started commercial production at its fourth manufacturing facility in Hisar, Haryana. The plant adds capacity for 72,000 vehicles a year, taking the company’s total annual capacity from 2.40 lakh to 3.12 lakh units. That is a 30% increase in manufacturing capacity across its operations.
How much capacity does the Hisar plant add?
The Hisar facility can produce 48,000 two-wheelers and 24,000 three-wheelers annually. Zelio has committed more than ₹20 crore to the site, which will make Zelio electric scooters and Tanga electric three-wheelers.

| Capacity measure | Units per year |
|---|---|
| Company total before Hisar | 2,40,000 |
| Hisar two-wheelers | 48,000 |
| Hisar three-wheelers | 24,000 |
| Company total with Hisar | 3,12,000 |
Where Hisar fits into Zelio’s factory network
Hisar joins Ladwa in Haryana, Cuttack in Odisha and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. It gives Zelio a second manufacturing location in Haryana and places two- and three-wheeler production under the same roof at the new site.
What the expansion means for buyers
Commercial production means the site has started operating. The annual capacity figure describes what the network is set up to make. Actual output will depend on how quickly production ramps up and how demand develops. For a buyer, local stock, delivery estimates and service coverage are still the figures to check with a dealer.
