MG Hector Blackstorm: 3 Key Updates

MG Motors has introduced the Hector Blackstorm Edition in India, with prices starting at Rs. 21.24 lakh (ex-showroom). This special edition which is compatible with the Hector and Hector Plus models, features unique cosmetic improvements that are consistent with the Astor and Gloster Blackstorm versions. The top three characteristics that set the Blackstorm Edition apart from the regular Hector are listed below.

Dark Exterior Theme

The Blackstorm Edition has an all-black body with smoked taillights, a dark chrome grille, and black headlamp bezels. The MG badge is also blacked out, with the only shiny elements being the Daytime Running Lights (DRLs).

Red Accents

To add contrast to the dark exterior, the Blackstorm Edition includes red highlights throughout. The front bumper sports red stripes, the black Outside Rear-View Mirrors (ORVMs) have red highlights, and the black alloy wheels are fitted with red brake calipers.

Black Interior with Red Highlights

Inside, the Blackstorm Edition continues the black theme, complemented by red accents and red ambient lighting. The rest of the equipment remains the same as in the standard SUV, featuring notable amenities such as a 360-degree camera, a large infotainment screen, six airbags, hill assist control, and more.

Engine Options

The MG Hector Blackstorm Edition is powered by the same engine options as the standard model: a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. Transmission choices include a six-speed manual and a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
