One of the biggest car sellers in the country, Maruti Suzuki, has a plethora of cars in its pipeline and recently launched the new model of the Suzuki Celerio. The forthcoming facelift model of the MPV XL6 is the next model in the works, and it’s evident from the test mule spotted on the road. However, the test mule was completely camouflaged, but still, we got some hints about the design of the updated model.

The test mule indicates little revisions at the backside, but the grille appears to have been updated and the front bumper appears to be new. The headlights are comparable to the existing XL6, and the internals might be changed. In the spy video, the test vehicle could be seen equipped with new design wheels, similar to those found on the Suzuki XL7 sold in select Southeast Asian markets, which might be used on the production model as well.

The inside of the facelifted XL6 will be updated with new upholstery. Other modest modifications in terms of quality are possible. Other elements will remain the same as the existing XL6, including leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a height-adjustable driver seat, and a soft-touch premium roof lining. Other available features will be an auto AC, keyless entry, cruise control, power and tilt steering, electrically adjustable and folding ORVMs and more.

A sunroof could be a great add-on, but it’s not confirmed yet. The facelift will most likely use the same K15B Smart Hybrid powertrain, which incorporates a 1.5-litre petrol engine. It has a maximum power output of 103 hp and a maximum torque output of 138 Nm. Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The safety features will be substantially the same as those of the current XL6. It has dual airbags, ABS with EBD and braking assist, a reverse parking camera, an electronic stability programme and many more.
