India-Spec 2020 Hyundai Creta SUV Officially Revealed

The most anticipated car from the Korean manufacturer, the 2020 Hyundai Creta SUV has been recently unveiled by the brand's ambassador Shah Rukh Khan at the ongoing Auto Expo 2020. One of the leading cars in its segment, the 2020 iteration of the SUV is now based on the China-spec Hyundai ix25. Coming to the updated front fascia, the SUV now features a redesigned cascading front grille while the old headlight cluster has been replaced with split LED units which now imparts it an uncanny look at the front though one can get used to it. The flared wheel arches offered to the updated SUV accentuates its overall sporty look while the addition of new alloy wheels enhances its new-gen design language. The brand has equipped the updated SUV with prominent body accents that impart it with a futuristic look. The India-spec 2020 model of the Creta measures 4,300mm in length, 1,790mm in width and 1,620/1,635mm in height. While the wheelbase is now down by 20mm and stands at 2,610mm when compared to the last-gen version. [caption id="attachment_531156" align="aligncenter" width="1080"] Apart from being a right-hand drive model, the interior of the India-Spec 2020 Creta will be more or less the same as the China-spec Hyundai ix25[/caption] Coming to the cabin details, the brand has not revealed the interior of the India-spec 2020 Creta though one can expect the SUV to feature the same design language as seen on the China-spec Hyundai ix25. The brand will be equipping the SUV with a panoramic sunroof in addition to offering a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, steering-wheel-mounted controls as well as an in-built navigation system. In addition to this, the updated SUV will also feature front and rear parking sensors, automatic climate control, a 360-degree parking camera, ventilated front seats as well as multiple driving modes. Mechanically, the all-new 2020 Hyundai Creta will now available in the market with three BS6-compliant engine options. In terms of performance, the 1.5-litre petrol engine will be capable of offering maximum power of 115HP and 144Nm of peak torque, the 1.5-litre VGT diesel will be good for 115HP of power and 250Nm of utmost torque and lastly, the 1.4-litre Turbo GDI petrol engine will be offering 140HP of power and 242Nm of peak torque. The new price tags for the 2020 Hyundai Creta will be revealed at the time of the official launch next month. Once launched in India, the updated SUV will compete in the market with the likes of Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Tata Harrier and Mahindra XUV500.
