Hyundai Creta Facelift Set for Grand Launch in India Tomorrow

Hyundai India is gearing up for the launch of the Creta facelift in the country tomorrow, January 16, 2024. The facelifted model will be available in seven variants: E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, and SX(O). Interested customers can secure their booking for the upcoming SUV by paying a token amount of Rs. 25,000, with an expected waiting period of up to 18 weeks.

Exterior Updates

The refreshed Creta boasts a redesigned front and rear profile. At the front, it features a full-width DRL (Daytime Running Light) with a large grille, split LED headlamps, a new bumper, and a silver faux skid plate. The rear sports a connecting LED tail lights setup, a tweaked rear bumper, shark-fin antenna, rear wiper with a washer, and a high-mounted stop lamp. The facelift introduces a new exterior paint option, Robust Emerald Pearl, along with existing colors such as Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Titan Grey, and Atlas White with a black roof.

Interior Upgrades

Inside the cabin, the Creta facelift receives a thoroughly revamped design, featuring a redesigned dashboard and center console layout. Notable features include a twin 10.25-inch display setup for infotainment and the instrument cluster, a multi-spoke steering wheel, a new aircon panel with revised vents, updated seat upholstery, a 360-degree surround camera, and a Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) suite.

Powertrain Options

The Creta facelift will offer three powertrains: a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine. Transmission choices include a six-speed manual, six-speed iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission), automatic torque converter, CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), and a seven-speed DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission) gearbox.

Upon its launch, the Hyundai Creta facelift will continue to compete with rivals in the mid-size SUV segment, including the Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the Honda Elevate.
