Husqvarna Launches Vitpilen 250, Svartpilen 401 - Prices Begin at Rs. 2.19 Lakh

Husqvarna has made a significant mark in the Indian motorcycle market with the launch of the Vitpilen 250 and Svartpilen 401, priced at Rs 2.19 lakh and Rs 2.92 lakh, respectively. This move marks a new era for the Husqvarna lineup with both bikes now based on the latest generation KTM models. Addressing previous concerns about size and height, these models offer a generation change, providing a solution to the earlier compact yet tall design.

Vitpilen 250 Features

  • The 2024 Vitpilen 250, based on the KTM 250 Duke platform, takes a departure from the cafe racer aesthetic of its predecessor.
  • Improved ergonomics: The handlebar design shifts towards a roadster style, offering a sporty yet comfortable riding position.
  • Increased seating space: The seat length has been extended by 100mm, providing more room for both the rider and pillion. Importantly, the seat height is reduced by 22mm to 820mm.
  • Powerplant: Equipped with a 249cc, single-cylinder engine from the KTM 250 Duke, generating 31hp at 9,500rpm and 25Nm at 7,500rpm.
  • Electronics: The Vitpilen 250 features a 5-inch LCD dash, traction control, and LED lighting.

Svartpilen 401 Features

  • The Svartpilen 401, borrowing underpinnings from the latest 390 Duke, presents a scrambler design.
  • Roomier design: Similar to the Vitpilen 250, the Svartpilen 401 addresses space concerns from previous models.
  • Performance: Powered by a 399cc single-cylinder engine, delivering 46hp and 39Nm of torque.
  • Wheels and rubber: The Svartpilen 401 comes with 17-inch tubed wire-spoke wheels wrapped in premium Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR rubber.
  • Electronics: Equipped with a TFT dash, cornering ABS, traction control, and bidirectional quickshifter.
