Hero Xoom 160 and Xoom 125R Debut in India

Hero recently unveiled the Xoom 160 and Xoom 125R scooters at EICMA 2023, and now, these scooters have made their debut in India at the Hero World event.

The Hero Xoom 160 is powered by a liquid-cooled, 156cc, single-cylinder engine, delivering 14hp at 8,000rpm and 13.7Nm at 6,500rpm. It features Hero's patented i3s stop-start technology and a silent starter. Weighing 141kg, it boasts a telescopic fork/twin shock absorber setup and rides on 14-inch wheels with dual-purpose tires. Keyless entry, a completely digital dashboard, a remote seat opening, and two split LED headlamps are among the standout features. Upon release, its main competitor will be the Yamaha Aerox 155, priced at Rs 1.47 lakh.

The Xoom 125R sits above the Xoom 110 in the lineup and is equipped with an air-cooled, 124.6cc, single-cylinder engine producing 9.5hp and 10.14Nm of torque. While it offers more power, it's slightly lower on torque compared to Hero's other 125cc scooters. It features a fully digital dashboard with Bluetooth connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation and notification alerts. Moreover, sequential LED indicators are included. Upon launch, it will compete in the 125cc scooter segment against rivals like the TVS Ntorq, Suzuki Avenis, and the Honda Dio 125, priced between Rs 85,000 to Rs 1,05,000.

Hero also introduced the 2.5R XTunt concept which provides a first look at a forthcoming 250cc streetfighter vehicle, in addition to these scooters.
