DSK Hyosung's absence from the AUTO EXPO 2016 was disheartening. While DSK Benelli had set up fascinating stand with their 4 new motorcycles, Hyosung was nowhere to be seen. However, a talk with Shirish Kulkarni, who heads both Benelli and  Hyosung, shined light on Hyosung's future plans. According to Kulkarni, Hyosung plans to launch 4 new motorcycles in India over a period of 18 months. Out of the 4 Hyosung bikes, 3 will be released this year, staring from May. The 4th bike is expected to come out early next year. Lets take a look at what Hyosung has in its bag: (1) Hyosung GV300 hyosung-gv300-p This strongly built cruiser is all set to replace the existing GV250 Aquila. Only available in the shade of grey, the GV300 is powered by a 275 cc engine which churns out a maximum power of 26 horses at 8500 rpm and a max torque of 23.5 Nm at 7000 rpm. This Hyosung has a great deal of chrome finishing and blackened out engine and alloys. It is expected to come out in May with a price tag of INR 3,00,000. Kulkarni says it will come out in June/July this year. It is expected to be priced around INR 3,20,000. The bike goes from 0-100 kmph is just 8 seconds, and has a top speed of 210 kmph. Coming out in June/July, the GT650R is all set to take on the Kawasaki Ninja 650R. The price is expected to be around INR 4,80,000.
