Citroen C3 and C3 Aircross Facelifts Coming Early Next Year

Citroen is gearing up to launch the facelifted versions of the C3 and C3 Aircross early next year. The upcoming models are expected to undergo significant design revisions and feature enhancements to offer a more premium experience.

Design and Features

The 2025 Citroen models will sport cosmetic changes that retain the brand's French styling while introducing restyled lamps, re-sculpted bumpers, and more. The current lineup is set to receive additional features by July this year, addressing the omission of features that did not resonate well with Indian buyers. The top-spec C3 Aircross is anticipated to include features such as LED headlamps, keyless entry, electric folding mirrors, ventilated front seats, push-button start, automatic climate control, sunroof, cruise control, and wireless charging, all of which are available in its competitors. Additionally, the mid-size SUV will continue to offer flexible seating options.

Powertrain Options

The facelifted C3 and C3 Aircross will retain the same engine options and the recently introduced automatic transmission. The C3 Aircross currently features a 109bhp 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox. The C3 hatchback offers two engine choices: a 1.2-litre turbo mated to a six-speed manual and a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre unit producing 81bhp, coupled with a five-speed manual transmission.

Pricing and Competition

With the addition of new equipment and cosmetic changes, a nominal price increase is expected for the facelifted models. The C3 Aircross aims to compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder. The C3 hatchback, on the other hand, will continue to rival models such as the Tata Punch, Maruti Ignis, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite.

The upcoming facelifts for the Citroen C3 and C3 Aircross promise to elevate the brand's offerings in the Indian market with enhanced design and features. As Citroen prepares to make these models more competitive and appealing, potential buyers can look forward to a more premium experience in early 2025.
