Maruti Brezza has been on the top of the sales charts since 2016 in the Indian markets. The sub-compact SUV has won the hearts of many people and is still selling in good numbers, and one of the key reasons is that the design of the SUV seems to be larger than its sub-4m long dimensions.
Vitara Brezza is hugely spacious and at the time of launch, it was available with a sole Fiat-sourced 1.3L multijet diesel engine which was quick to set the sales chart on fire. The next-gen Vitara Brezza has got delayed once again due to the COVID-19 pandemic and now the updated model is expected to launch in India by mid 2022.
Under the hood, the next-gen Vitara Brezza will be powered by the same 1.5L K-series petrol engine though Maruti Suzuki will be ramping up the amount of electrical assistance. The current model of Brezza is already using a mild-hybrid system but the next-gen model will be using a larger battery and a more powerful electric motor.
Maruti is also planning to re-introduce its 1.5L diesel engine in the BS6 guise with the next-gen model. The Next-Gen Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will give competition to the rest of the compact SUVs like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Ford EcoSport, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Mahindra XUV300, and the Nissan Magnite.
For the upcoming model, Maruti will continue with the same tall-boy, upright design with a width that made the first-gen Brezza so popular among its customers. The design will open up sufficient space on the inside for a class-leading spacious rear seat and a relatively large boot as well. The 2022 Vitara Brezza will boast a bold grille up-front, an all-new nose, and new sharp-looking all-LED headlights.
The upcoming model of Maruti Brezza will be based on the HEARTECT platform. Maruti Suzuki is about to step up its game in terms of safety with the next-gen Vitara Brezza. A newer and modern approach to the model will also help the car to have a more centralized approach to the integration of new systems such as connected car tech and fully advanced safety systems.
