Maruti Suzuki has launched an initiative known as 'Service on Wheels'. It is a doorstep car service which will undertake the service and repairs for cars that are away from the service centres. All Maruti passenger vehicles will be covered under this new service.
The 'Service on Wheels' will be equipped with the tools that will handle repairs, oil changes, underbody inspections and filter cleaning. These services will be available for all engine options in the carmaker’s lineup - petrol, diesel, and CNG. Maruti Suzuki has a service network of over 3600 workshops across 1800 towns and cities in India.

The new initiative of 'Service on Wheels' will add to the brand's already huge service network in India. The doorstep car service is already being offered by Tata that provides overall maintenance and regular checkups. Hyundai also provides a similar set of doorstep services and also offers car wash and detailing.
Talking about the premium brands, Mercedes-Benz also offers a thorough inspection of the vehicle along with a comfortable mobile lounge for customers to pass their time. Toyota also offers breakdown services and minor repairs for the ease of their customers.
The service started by Maruti Suzuki will not only benefit the customers located in far areas but also the customers in urban areas who are unable to visit the workshop due to shortage of time.
