This typical 6 wheeled modified Mahindra Thar is something that buyers would love to own at any cost. Made by Grizzly Motor Works, the car is an exceptional performer with 1 tonne of towing capacity and impressive off-road ability.
Unlike the 6x6 wagons seen from Mercedes and Hennessy, this one has a different arrangement for the rear four wheels. Rather than using a new axle for the third set of tyres, Grizzly Motor went on the mount two tyres on each side of the rear axle. That results in improved traction and thus, such high towing capacity on the Thar.

Apart from looking deadly unique, the Thar here comes with loads of customization for enhanced performance and looks. The front is offered with Wrangler inspired designing bits that includes the primary grille and rear view mirrors. A custom bumper with integrated bull bar further raises its overall style and safety quotient.
This modified Mahindra Thar is a two seater with hardtop for the front seats and covered storage for the rear section. The car comes with market lights, fog lights, work lights and LED rear lights for every possible driving scenario. It even gets a high mounted stop lamp.
Mahindra Thar can tow around 750 kg without the need of an additional braking system for the trailer but in this case, full potential is explored with a trailer that gets its own braking system. The modified Mahindra Thar comes with beefier tyres and good looking set of alloy wheels for all six units.
Mahindra Thar is powered by a 2498cc, four cylinder diesel engine producing 105 BHP at 3800 rpm and 247 Nm at 1800-2000 rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox with low reduction gear. Standard configuration offers a 200mm ground clearance and wet weight of 1750 kg.
