2019 Yamaha Aerox 155 is now officially available in Thailand for 74,400 baht (INR 1.62 lakh approx). The price mentioned here is for the ABS variant and practically, this is the only version that fits the Indian market requirement. However, the Aerox 155 R variant at 67,400 baht (INR 1.46 lakh approx) comes without ABS while adding the sporty bits like painted alloy wheels and rear suspension with gas-charged function. The smart key function and start/stop system is exclusive to the ABS variant and thus, the high price gets justified for the Thai market.

The fuel tank measures 4.6-litres, strictly announcing the 2019 Yamaha Aerox 155 as a city-specific sport scooter with R15 V3-derived engine. The gearbox is automatic and thus, those who feel manual shifting is a problem can concentrate more on the fun factor. The scooter is available in three variants in Thailand, considering the local market demand and taking into account the number of buyers for every added detail. ABS is not yet mandatory in Thailand and most brands offer dual-channel unit as optional on their products. Aerox 155 has a different power output in comparison to the R15 V3, resulting in a bit more decent ride quality for the owners.

The scooter is available in a limited number of colour combinations, with R variant being the most radical with neon-painted wheels and golden gas canisters. If launched in India, the model cannot be priced competitively in the commuter scooter segment and will rival the premium counterparts like SR 150 from Aprilia and Vespa 150cc series. The pricing will fall in the same segment (around INR 1 lakh) as the present generation FZ and thus, may not prove to be as frugal as most expectations. The 2019 Yamaha Aerox 155 comes with water cooling and fuel injection.
