UM Motorcycle Planning to Invest INR 162 Crore in India

UM Motorcycle India is planning to invest INR 162.25 Crore in an engine manufacturing unit. The setup will help them expand in a phased manner in India as demand of UM Renegade bikes is expected to rise sharply with the entry of Duty 230 and other lower placed models. The new facility will employ almost 700 people and could produce up to 50,000 units when fully operational. They are expected to start the facility by early 2019.
