TVS Zeppelin Cruiser Concept has been showcased at Auto Expo 2018. The first ever 220cc bike from TVS, Zeppelin comes with a unique power cruiser stance and shares components with present generation bikes like Apache RR 310.
What makes it totally unique is the use of integrated starter generator system, a technology seen on Maruti cars like Ciaz and Ertiga. The one seen here is a downsized version that could fit in the limited space offered under the fuel tank. They have upgraded the system with e-boost system that offers more performance, whenever required.
Visual similarities include the 41mm USD golden finished forks that are available on Apache RR310. Zeppelin Cruiser Concept is unique with a first ever belt drive system on a TVS motorcycle.
They are already known for premium part use on various motorcycle and this could be the next generation step to make upcoming cruisers effective against the competition.
Pirelli Sport Demon tyres look perfectly wrapped over the black spoke wheels on Zeppelin. Disc brakes at both ends are also shared with their flagship sport machine. Fans would love to see those forward placed, cruiser style foot pegs for maximum comfort on long rides.

Auto Expo 2018: TVS Zeppelin 220 Power Cruiser Unveiled[/caption]
Will TVS use all this tech in reality? This will be the biggest point for worry for fans in India. We can safely expect the use of LED headlight, USD forks and belt drive on its production version while hybrid drive could only be a test feature for future products by TVS.
They are known to bring the best out of all and with Zeppelin, this year has also been made special for Indian fans. TVS is also using HD Sport camera and Bio-key feature on the motorcycle. Dual channel ABS is standard on Zeppelin Concept. Belt drive is a great alternative to chain drive as it is not just silent but also keeps maintenance lower than a same spec chain drive motorcycle.
