2020 TVS Apache RR 310 Teased Ahead of Launch in India: TVS Motor is sending invitations for a media test ride of an upgraded model of the Apache RR 310, most probably being the more powerful variant with added goodies like the slipper clutch and lighter body parts. Even after 18 months of its existence, the RR 310 has struggled to make a special place among the motorcycle enthusiasts of India. The aged KTM RC 390 is still the first choice for many as the power and weight factor of the motorcycle still favours the orange machine. However, with the 2020 model, TVS could address all the issues being faced by aspiring riders when they equate Apache RR 310 on the paper. If watching Bajaj Auto on such progress, the launch of the 2019 Dominar 400 brought an end to the older variant at once and to be practical, most buyers would not consider the less-equipped model for a small price gap. The chances of TVS placing the model at a lower price are very scarce but if they do so, the model could get a second life through this action. The biggest reason for fans considering other bikes around this segment is the high price tag of the Apache RR 310. Considering the fact that they have more than three decades of racing experience, the new RR310 could be more biased toward the race cup motorcycle that TVS used on its track events. The 312cc, single cylinder liquid-cooled engine on the motorcycle is good for 34 HP in the current form. The wet weight is also praiseworthy at 169.5kg, considering the fact that streetfighter G310R from BMW weighs 11kg less than the full-faired TVS racer. The top speed claimed presently is 160 kph. It is expected that TVS Motor will also introduce new graphics and decals inspired by the RR 310 Special Edition, which was unveiled in Colombia recently. The 2020 model of Apache RR 310 will be unveiled officially on May 28 in India.
