As expected, the sports bike is powered by a single cylinder oil-cooled 249cc engine, which is good for 26.5 HP of maximum power at 9000 rpm, and 22.6 NM of maximum torque at 7500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The 250cc Suzuki Gixxer SF is expected to be priced around INR 1.50 lakh, and it would be competing with the likes of Yamaha Fazer 25 and Honda CBR250R.
