Bajaj Dominar 400 is back on the track, beating similar displacement motorcycles in the Indian market in terms of sales last month. The flagship Bajaj motorcycle posted 2,044 units in June 2019, leaving behind the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the KTM 390 series, which registered 1,223 units and 355 units respectively.
The gap may become more visible in the coming months as Bajaj Auto is planning to take the sales number higher as they did initially with the last generation model. The brand recently launched the 2019 model of Dominar 400 in India with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 1.74 lakh. At present, the motorcycle is available for INR 1.80 lakh, as the company recently hiked the price by INR 6,000.

The price point for the new Dominar 400 is so justified that RE Himalayan feels like an expensive option. On the other hand, the KTM bikes are placed well above the common spending area of the majority of the buyers in India. The 2019 variant of the flagship Bajaj motorcycle comes with USD front forks, updated instrument console with more values than the older version, and an updated DOHC engine with 40HP of maximum power.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan can be bought in Black, White, and Sleet colour options while KTM offers a single colour option for the RC 390 and two colour options for the 390 Duke. As per a recent report, Bajaj Auto will soon launch a glossy red colour for the Dominar 400.
