Royal Enfield has finally listened to their fans and they will soon be launching new Thunderbird 500X in the Indian market in coming days! It would the first Royal Enfield cruiser to be equipped with alloy wheels and tubeless tyres.
Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500X was recently spotted at a dealership in Belgaum. The launch is expected to happen in January 2018 and the deliveries are expected to start by the end of next month or in the first week of February.

Thunderbird 500X will come with all-new well-padded seats, new handlebar, tubeless tyres, and Black alloy wheels. The engine, exhaust pipe, and the front suspension are finished in matte black shade. Like the recently launched Classic 350 'Redditch Edition', the all-new Thunderbird 500X will be available in 2 vibrant shades: Blue and Yellow.
As far as engine is concerned, Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500X will be powered by the same 499cc single-cylinder engine. It generates maximum power of 27.2 Bhp @ 5250 rpm, and develops maximum torque of 41.3 NM @ 4000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission.
New model of Thunderbird is expected to get a price hike of around INR 25,000-30,000 in comparison to the standard Thunderbird 500. We expect TB 500X to be priced around INR 2.15-2.20 Lakh (Ex-showroom).
