According to a recent report by GaadiWaadi, the Royal Enfield 650 Twins have received minor updates for the Indian market. The flagship motorcycles from the brand, Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 have been equipped with a few changes for increased visibility as well as safety. The 650 Twins are the most desired motorcycles from the Chennai-based manufacturer considering their splendid performance and authentic cruiser looks. Coming to the minor updates, the headlamp setup of the motorcycles now feature a clear lens which further improves the visibility on the road especially at night by offering better brightness. In addition to this, the motorcycles have been equipped with amber coloured reflectors on the outer forks to offer better perceptibility of the motorcycle when seen from the side. Article image Dealerships across the country have started receiving the updated motorcycle variants while the brand is yet to make an official statement on the same. The all-new safety and visibility updates offered to the Royal Enfield 650 Twins now lines up with the international-spec variants available in the UK and US. Powering both the flagship motorcycles is a 648cc twin-cylinder engine that is capable of generating a maximum power figure of 47HP @ 7250 rpm and a peak torque of 52Nm @ 5250 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The brand recently also hiked the prices of the 650cc twins by around INR 6,000-7000. The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is currently available at a starting price tag of INR 2.56 lakh while the Continental GT 650 is currently available at a starting price of INR 2.72 lakh (ex-showroom).
