300cc Jawa Motorcycle Spotted Ahead of Official Unveil on November 15

Heavy camouflage and classic styling welcomes the new 300cc Jawa to India, spotted testing with Maharashtra registered red testing number plate and every required element for a road legal bike. Even the placement for the reflectors and indicators is now sure. The first thing a purist will love is the original Jawa stance with bulkier upper side and decent tires on the lower end. When comparing the motorcycle to a several decade old machines, we get the same layout with spoke wheels, exclusive engine design and dual exhaust with chrome finish. Mahindra has tried its best to keep the vintage elements alive on the 2018 variant. Still, getting decent width means a considerable grip level on the Jawa 300. As the brand has cleared that they will enter the segment with a single cylinder option, the new engine can prove worthy for a price tag of under INR 2 lakh (on-road) and bring leisure riding back to the Indian buyers. The engine is BS6 ready and offers 27 HP of maximum power to the rider. However, more prominent thing is the 28 Nm of torque and refined six-speed manual gearbox. However, placing the same at such effective pricing may not be a reality for Jawa. They will need to keep up with cost-cutting techniques to get closer to the Classic 350 ABS. The model seen here comes with rear drum brake, flat seat and chrome lipped suspension components. It is quite expected that single-channel ABS will be used to fulfill the government’s requirement in India. The 300cc Jawa bike will definitely prove itself as a game changer.
