New Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R India Launch Update: Kawasaki had globally revealed the 2021 Ninja ZX-10R in the month of November last year. The new model of the superbike has been through many upgrades ranging from aesthetics to mechanicals and electronics. We are well aware that the company will bring the new ZX-10R to our shores but the exact time frame has not been known yet. The recent reports suggest that the 2021 Ninja ZX-10R will launch in India by the end of the first quarter this year.

The company has yet not released any official statement on the matter. However, if the sources are to be believed, the new Ninja ZX-10R would reach the nearest dealerships across the country by March 2021. As far as the pricing is concerned, the last-gen model of Ninja ZX-10R was available for INR 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and reports suggest that the 2021 version would be INR 1.5-2.0 lakhs costlier.

The 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is powered by a 999cc inline 4-cylinder engine, however, the Japanese bikemaker has made a lot of internal changes, like the intake ports and valve-train have been redesigned completely. A Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating has been done on the finger-followers, while titanium intake and exhaust valves are present, and a dry film lubricant is used on the piston skirts. In terms of specs, the superbike generates a maximum power figure of 203 HP @ 13,200 rpm along with a peak torque of 114.9 Nm @ 11,400 rpm. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed transmission.

The 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R also has an advanced electronics package. It features Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF), Bosch IMU, Sport-Kawasaki TRaction Control (S-KTRC), Kawasaki Launch Control Mode (KLCM), Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System (KIBS), and many more. The bike has integrated riding modes that have been specifically designed for the professional riders. In addition to these features, the superbike also features electronic cruise control and a new 4.3-inch all-digital instrumentation with the availability of smartphone connectivity.
