Honda 2-Wheelers recently jumped the 4 Crore sales landmark in India. The brand is definitely the quickest to achieve this milestone. The 1 Crore figure took 11 years to arrive while 2 Crore was achieved in the next three years. The speed of progress was so fast that next 2 Crore units were scored in just four years.
Honda is India’s second largest brand by volume and three products (Activa, CB Shine, and Unicorn) established them as a market leader in their first 11 years of existence. These three are still the highest selling products (including both bikes and scooters) in the company lineup, with other product joining them one after the other.

Honda made progress by introducing commuter motorcycles like Dream and Livo series to target customers from the highest selling motorcycle segment. The popularity of CB Shine has helped the brand claim almost 10 lakh units every year for the 125cc motorcycle.
On the other hand, Honda Activa counts for more than 50% of the total 4 Crore figure. In comparison to Honda, Hero Motocorp has achieved 8 Crore sales benchmark but did the same in 33 years of existence. Both the brands focus on everyday products while Honda also specializes in superbikes like CBR1000RR, Africa Twin, CB1000R+ and the six-cylinder Goldwing.
