Hero MotoCorp launched the Xtreme 160R in the Indian markets back on June 30, 2020. In terms of pricing, the street bike is available with a starting ex-showroom price tag of INR 1.02 lakhs for the single-disc model while the dual-disc model is available for INR 1.05 lakhs. In addition to this, Hero has equipped the motorcycle with LED headlight and taillight setup adding to the premium bits while the fuel tank extensions further impart the bike a muscular outlook. The turn indicators equipped on the Xtreme 160R have also been offered LED lighting while the fully-digital instrument console offers apt riding data. Powering the motorcycle is a BS6-compliant 160cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 15HP @ 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The motorcycle has been equipped with a single-channel ABS as standard while the customers can avail it with a rear disc or drum brake setup. The suspension duties on the Hero Xtreme 160R are handled by Showa-sourced telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock absorber at the rear.
