BS6 Hero XPulse 200 Technical Specifications Officially Revealed: The BS6 model of the Hero XPulse 200 with all its specifications and the feature updates has been recently listed on the brand’s official website. The brand had showcased the BS6-compliant motorcycle variant back in February 2020 while informing the customers of the addition of an oil-cooled engine and a revised exhaust unit.
According to Hero’s official website, the addition of new features to comply with the BS6 emission norms like an all-new oil-cooler have ultimately reduced the maximum output offered by the updated engine. The restrictive exhaust unit offered to the BS6-compliant motorcycle has further reduced the power value of the adventure motorcycle when compared to its BS4 counterpart.

BS6 Hero XPulse 200 Technical Specifications Officially Revealed[/caption]
The 2020 Hero XPulse 200 is powered by a 199.6cc fuel-injected engine that is now BS6-compliant and capable of churning out a maximum power of 17.8HP @ 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 16.4Nm @ 6,500 rpm. In its BS4 state, the engine was good for 18.4HP @ 8,000 rpm and 17.1Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The power and torque values offered by the updated engine have been reduced by 0.6HP and 0.7Nm respectively.
The brand has further repositioned the header pipe on the updated motorcycle from its actual position near the engine as seen in the BS4 variant of the motorcycle. Now, the pipe goes down below the engine and comes back to meet up with the muffler whose position has not been altered in the BS6 variant. Though the belly pan of the motorcycle is now repositioned to make space for the header pipe, the ground clearance of the motorcycle has not been altered and remains the same at 220mm.
The addition of BS6-compliant features in the motorcycle has increased its kerb weight by a total of 3kgs when compared to the BS4 version. The BS6 Hero XPulse 200 now weighs 157kg when compared to the 154kg of kerb weight of its BS4 counterpart. The brand has not yet listed the price tag of the updated motorcycle though one can expect it to get a minimal premium over its INR 1.05 lakh BS4 price tag.
