BMW G310R & G310GS Bookings Officially Open: As per the latest details available, the bookings for much awaited single-cylinder BMW motorcycles are now officially open. The launch is expected to happen in July and the deliveries will start in August 2018.
Dealer level service and training sessions are planned for June 22-29. Both the bikes will be listed under ‘smart cc’ class of machines and BMW will appoint one executive sales lead for each dealership to take care of the operations.
Two sales executives will also join this team and thus, both bikes will be handled effectively through the same network. It may feel perfect on paper but least number of dealerships would mean discouragement among buyers of Tier 2 and 3 cities. It would be hard to convince them for easy after sales ownership experience.

Launch Update: BMW G310R Coming in July 2018[/caption]
BMW Motorrad currently has a limited number of dealerships, that too mostly in South India. Also, a recent report regarding high prices of Apache RR 310 parts hints that BMW G310R and G310GS will get even more expensive spares for their segment.
With all these limitations, getting a massive number won't be easy in a cost-effective market like India. Both bikes are powered by the same 312cc, single cylinder engine producing 34 HP and 28 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Ex-showroom price range for these bikes will effectively fall between INR 2.60-3.10 lakh.
