BMW G310R and G310GS are two of the most expected machines of 2018. Many fans are feeling disappointed as TVS came first with their product but still, something with a good sounding motor and BMW moniker on all sides is worth waiting for few more months. Both the bikes were recently showcased at Auto Expo 2018.
Not just that, Apache RR 310 could only serve the superbike looking audience while those who were looking for roadster and an off-roader are still on the waiting list. For riders who presently own a lovely machine but still want to have a glimpse of these Indo-German beauties, BMW G310R and G310GS are available till February 14 at Auto Expo 2018.
The prime Indian automotive exhibition has brought mouth watering product launches and wide variety of upcoming products of 2018 and 2019. BMW G310R was developed before the Apache RR 310 but its first purpose was to solve the increasing share of KTM bikes in foreign markets.
Up to some extent, G310R and G310GS made it easy for riders to choose motorcycling with its low cost and high levels of performance. It can be driven all day at average European highway speeds and G310GS takes things further in control with its effective practicality.
Both the bikes are powered by a 313cc, single cylinder engine producing 33.6 BHP at 9500 rpm and 28 Nm at 7500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The cost effective motor is also on use in the Apache RR 310. BMW G310R is a lightweight option with just 158.5 kg of wet weight.
When this is equated with 785 mm of seat height, G310R comes out as a perfect machine for average built riders. G310GS weighs 11 kg over the roadster and offers 835 mm of higher seat height for better all terrain riding. It even comes with a bigger 19 inch front wheel.
