Official: DSK Benelli 302R Bookings Now Open in India

Benelli 302R is preparing for the Indian debut as bookings for the twin cylinder lightweight motorcycle has officially started for INR 30,000. A customer can book the bike across all available dealerships of DSK Benelli. No exact launch date for the same was disclosed but as the booking have started officially, they may not take more than 6 weeks to deliver the first motorcycle to its owner. Rumors regarding the launch of Benelli 302R in January, April and then May were circling the automotive industry from a long time. Benelli recently removed the flagship TNT 1130R and TNT 899 from their official website. Poor sales could be a reason for the same or one could also assume that the engines were not BS4 compliant till date. Entry of Tornado 302R could help the brand stand high in front of Kawasaki Ninja 300 and even the temporarily discontinued Yamaha R3. This segment will grow more in the coming time as riders are looking for faster and more comfortable alternatives to large, single cylinder engines in India.

Benelli Tornado 302R is powered by a 300cc, twin cylinder, liquid cooled and fuel injected engine producing 35.5 BHP at 10000 rpm and 27.4 Nm at 9000 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and claims an overall weight of 180 kg. Benelli claims a top speed of 170 kmph while 0-100 kmph timing is still undisclosed for the motorcycle. It carries an excellent 780 mm of seat height, helping short riders fulfill their dream of riding a supersport class motorcycle with much ease. The list of expected equipment includes ABS on the 302R.
