Shirish Kularni Chairman, DSK Motowheels recently confirmed that TRK 502 which was up for launch this year has further been delayed. TRK 502 is a dual purpose adventure tourer bike from Benelli. It belongs to a list of highly awaited bikes from the Italian brand and the news comes as a disappointment for the fans. Benelli TRK 502 is now expected to be launched in India in first 3 months of the year 2018.
Benelli TRK 502 is powered by a 499.6 cc engine which generates a maximum power of 47 bhp @ 8500 rpm and generates a maximum torque of 45 Nm @ 4500 rpm. The twin cylinder engine motorbike runs on 6 speed manual transmission. The bike has a kerb weight of 210 kilograms. It is fully loaded with features and also has an ABS (Anti-lock Braking System ).
TRK 502 is expected to be priced at somewhere around INR 4 lakhs (ex-showroom). The bike also gets a hydraulic wet clutch and also gets electronic fuel injection with 37 mm throttle body. The bike was first unveiled at EICMA 2015 and later was seen by Indian fans @ Auto Expo 2016 in Delhi. The adventure tourer belongs to a rather rare segment as catered to in the country. And also with the presence of Bajaj Dominar 400, these bikes rely on brand value and niche marketing.
