Bajaj Set to Launch CNG Bike Next Quarter, Pulsar Flagship in FY25

Bajaj Auto is gearing up to transform the two-wheeler market by launching the world's first compressed natural gas (CNG) motorcycle in the upcoming quarter. This groundbreaking development was confirmed by Rajiv Bajaj, the Managing Director of Bajaj Auto. This launch not only signifies a pioneering step in the two-wheeler segment globally but also reflects Bajaj Auto's commitment to offering sustainable and innovative mobility solutions.

Versatility and Range of the CNG Motorcycle

The upcoming CNG motorcycle will cater to a broad spectrum of consumers, with displacement options varying from 100cc to 150-160cc. This diverse range ensures that there will be a CNG-powered motorcycle suitable for different customer needs and preferences, highlighting Bajaj Auto's effort to provide a comprehensive portfolio.

A Milestone in Sustainable Mobility

By integrating a CNG cylinder within a motorcycle frame, Bajaj Auto is presenting a viable and eco-friendly alternative to traditional petrol-powered bikes. This initiative is expected to garner significant interest from consumers looking for cost-effective and less polluting transportation methods.

Expansion in Electric Mobility and Collaboration with Triumph

In addition to the CNG motorcycle, Bajaj Auto continues to see strong growth with its Chetak electric scooter. The company has observed substantial year-on-year monthly growth, indicating increasing consumer interest in electric vehicles. A new variant of the Chetak is slated for release in the next quarter, with plans to double the production capacity to 20,000 units per month to accommodate the rising demand.

The partnership between Bajaj Auto and Triumph motorcycles is also progressing well, aiming to achieve a delivery target of up to 10,000 units per month by the festive season. This collaboration is set to enhance the production capacity to 30,000 units per quarter, further solidifying Bajaj Auto's position in the market.

The Largest Pulsar Model on the Horizon

Looking towards the future, Bajaj Auto is preparing for the launch of the largest Pulsar model in early FY25. This move is indicative of the company's strategy focusing on 'super-segmentation' rather than merely pursuing premiumisation. The introduction of this new Pulsar model is anticipated to set new benchmarks in the performance segment of the Indian two-wheeler market.

Bajaj Auto's announcement of the world's first CNG motorcycle, along with its continuous expansion in electric mobility and strategic collaborations, exemplifies the company's innovative approach towards sustainable and diverse mobility solutions. As Bajaj Auto prepares to introduce these groundbreaking offerings, the two-wheeler industry is set for a significant transformation, with Bajaj leading the way in eco-friendly transportation.
