Amaron Assist: Amara Raja Approves Up to ₹100 Crore for Vehicle Services
Amara Raja has approved a wholly owned Amaron Assist subsidiary with up to ₹100 crore in initial capital for vehicle and battery services.
Amara Raja Energy & Mobility has approved a wholly owned subsidiary to provide vehicle and battery services under the Amaron Assist brand. The company has authorised up to ₹100 crore in initial capital, to be deployed in phases. The proposed business covers vehicle maintenance, battery servicing, vehicle care and mobility assistance. Drivers will need to wait for service locations, coverage and pricing before they can assess how useful it will be for them.
What has Amara Raja approved?
Amara Raja will own the proposed subsidiary outright. The plan calls for incorporation in Telangana within two months of the approval. Incorporation establishes the business entity, while a service rollout requires its own locations, operating arrangements and terms.
The ₹100 crore figure is the ceiling for the initial capital commitment. Deployment in tranches means funding can be released in stages as the business develops.
Which services could Amaron Assist offer?
The approved scope reaches beyond battery servicing into routine maintenance, vehicle care and mobility assistance. The company plans to build on its existing retail and distribution network. How that translates into participating outlets, on-site battery support or roadside coverage is still open.

What should vehicle owners check when it rolls out?
Start with availability at your postcode and the vehicles each service covers. For a flat battery or breakdown, find out whether help includes a jump-start, a replacement battery, towing or only referral to a local provider. The details will matter most for drivers comparing it with roadside assistance already bundled with a vehicle, insurance policy or service plan.
Amaron Assist gives Amara Raja a route into the wider vehicle-service business. The next milestone for drivers will be a confirmed service list, coverage area and pricing.
