2024 Kawasaki W175 Expected to Launch Today at IBW

Kawasaki is gearing up to unveil an updated version of its compact yet stylish motorcycle, the W175, at the India Bike Week on December 8. Reports circulating online suggest significant improvements including the introduction of alloy wheels with broader tubeless tires, a departure from the existing model's spoke wheels with tube tires. Additionally, there are speculations of new color schemes being offered adding a touch of freshness to its visual aesthetics.

Embodying a classic design the W175 boasts distinctive features like a round headlamp, circular mirrors, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and a robust single-piece seat. Powering this motorcycle is a 177cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine generating 12.8bhp and 13.2Nm of peak torque, seamlessly paired with a five-speed gearbox. Its chassis, built on a double cradle frame, supports 17-inch wheels suspended by telescopic forks and dual springs ensuring a comfortable and balanced ride. The braking system integrates a disc-drum combination with single-channel ABS offering reliable stopping power. Weighing in at 135kg and equipped with a 12-liter fuel tank, the W175 strikes a balance between agility and practicality.

The current pricing for the Kawasaki W175 ranges from Rs 1.47 lakh to Rs 1.49 lakh for the Ebony and Candy Persimmon Red variants. With the anticipated enhancements, the upcoming model is expected to command a slightly higher price catering to riders seeking a blend of classic design and modern features.
