2020 BS6 Royal Enfield Thunderbird Spotted Testing Again in India

A new video of the 2020 BS6 Royal Enfield Thunderbird, one of the most anticipated motorcycles from the brand, has surfaced online. Though the bike has been spotted testing multiple times over the last few days, the new video shows the Thunderbird with minimal camouflage, giving us a clear view of its front, side, and rear body panels. Showing a strong resemblance to a recently spotted test mule, the new video clearly shows the motorcycle with all-new rear styling, redesigned fuel tank as well as the side panels. The brand has opted for a shorter rear fender when compared to the current-gen Thunderbird X. In addition to these, the indicator/brake lamp has also been offered a new position. The fuel tank seen on the 2020 Royal Enfield now features the fuel cap in the middle when compared to the offset position offered on the current model. Apart from this, the fuel tank looks similar to the 20-litre unit, inspired by the current model.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qN-wTYpCf6I The new video confirms a proper cruiser riding position for the upcoming Royal Enfield Thunderbird X, considering the fact that the footpegs have been positioned two to three inches ahead. Rest of the styling seems to match the previously spied test mule of the motorcycle. The upcoming Thunderbird would be exhibiting a dual cradle frame while getting a more compact exhaust. The motorcycle will be powered by an updated BS6-compliant engine while it also has been equipped with a catalytic converter positioned in front of the rear wheel. The similar setup has been seen on the next-gen Royal Enfield Classic that is currently under testing phase. The rear section of the upcoming 2020 BS6 Royal Enfield Thunderbird has been reworked though, the tail-light assembly remains identical to the current-gen model. The engine casing and the end can on the exhaust have also been given a different colour treatment. There is no confirmation yet if the brand is testing multiple engine options for the same motorcycle or there are two separate models being tested such as the standard Thunderbird and its stylish sibling Thunderbird X. The updated Royal Enfield Thunderbird series is expected to launch in India by the end of this year or in early 2020.
