It comes with twin headlight cluster and a race inspired R series design. The R15 comes with a disc brake for the rear and the seating position, ride handling and braking has no direct competition with the Gixxer SF. The pricing is par too different, with the R15 being INR 30,000 more on the price tag.

The Yamaha SMAX 155 has been imported for testing and research purpose in India. Yamaha ha also imported NMAX and Majesty scooter in order to check which one suits the Indian conditions. The SMAX is an impressive ride with its 155 cc, 4-stroke, liquid cooled engine producing 14.8 BHP and 13.5 NM of torque. The scooter comes with a 13 inch tyre size and a 90 mm ground clearance, which is really a matter of concern for Yamaha India.
