As an entry level EV, it's hard to beat the price. You're getting new car warranty and used car money for zero emissions.

Better to buy a used Honda or Toyota. At least you know you're getting reliability and easy maintenance at least then.

If you take into account the savings on fuel over time, it’s good value. In cities, electricity is cheaper than gas.

The initial price might be low, but how about repairs? Big brands have an established service network, but VinFast does not.

Getting a decent electric scooter and a public transport pass for the same money makes no sense. More practical for most city dwellers.

It's only good value if it lasts. If you are having quality issues, I wouldn't bet on a VF3 still running well in 5 years.

The real value is in being an early adopter. Early customers may receive favored upgrades or treatment as VinFast expands.

Don't forget about resale value. In a few years, who's going to want to buy a used VF3? The depreciation will be brutal.

On a pure transportation value, it’s not bad. If you want to enjoy driving a car, look elsewhere.

It depends on where you live, and the value proposition changes. It could make sense in Vietnam with government incentives. In other markets, not so much.
What is the build quality of the VF3 in comparison to other budget EVs?

So far as I can tell, the quality of build on the VF3 is pretty much in line with the rest of the budget EVs. You get what you pay for, and at this price point, don’t expect luxury.

The VF3 feels solid, compared to something like the Wuling Mini EV. It's not made of tin foil at least.

Of course, as long as you don’t have to travel beyond the city. If that's the case, you're stuck with a glorified golf cart that can't even do highway speeds.
