Is the VF3 really practical for daily use in cities such as Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City?
The VinFast VF3 is sold as an urban mobility solution, optimised for the busy Vietnamese streets. But there’s a debate about whether it really fulfills the needs of daily city drivers. Others say its small size and electric powertrain are ideal for squeezing through city streets and dealing with traffic. But others say its limited range and long charging times could be a problem for busy urbanites. But there are also questions about how practical it is in terms of cargo space and passenger comfort. Does the VF3 really work in real world city conditions? Is it a viable choice for the everyday Vietnamese city dweller, or is there something better?

If you have a predictable commute and access to charging, it’s a decent option. For most people, a traditional scooter is still more practical, however.

The problem is the range. If you live in a busy city, you may need to make several trips in a day. The VF3 simply doesn't have the juice for that.

At the price, it's tough to beat as a city runabout. Not everyone requires a car that does everything.

Have you ever tried to fit groceries into one of these things? Even just giving a ride to more than one person? It’s not practical for anything beyond basic commuting.

Perfect for delivery drivers or anyone who does a lot of short trips. It is a huge advantage in crowded cities because of its small size.

Of course, as long as you don’t have to travel beyond the city. If that's the case, you're stuck with a glorified golf cart that can't even do highway speeds.

It's actually pretty great for short trips around the city. It’s easy to park, easy to get through traffic, and you won’t have to worry about gas prices.
