Should you pay the extra 9k for Bajaj Chetak Premium TecPac?

The TecPac option on the Bajaj Chetak Premium costs an additional Rs 9,000. Sport mode, sequential turn indicators, hill hold assist, turn by turn navigation, music playback, notification alerts, call management and display themes are all unlocked by this package. But there are those who insist the features should be features on a premium scooter, and those who think the price is worth it for the extra functionality. The question is whether these tech features really add to the riding experience and whether they are worth the extra outlay, particularly when rivals offer the same as standard. Also discussed is the long term value of these features and how it might effect the resale value of the scooter.

Totally worth it! In city riding alone the Sport mode makes a big difference. The hill hold assist is a lifesaver in traffic too.

Nah, it's just a cash grab. The vast majority of those features should be common on a "premium" scooter. Bajaj is just nickel and diming us.

Depends on your needs. It's a good deal if you're tech savvy and do a lot of navigation. If you’re just commuting, maybe skip it.

I got it and kinda regret it. I use half the features, but they’re nice. Rather save your money for accessories.

When you break it down, it's not bad — 9k for 5 years of those features? That’s like 150 bucks a month. Seems fair to me.

With TecPac, the resale value is improved. It could make your Chetak more attractive when you go to sell it, as people like gadgets.

I'm on the fence. Sequential indicators look cool but is that really 9k? Tough call.
