Should Mahindra bring a 4x4 version of the New Bolero?
The Mahindra Bolero has always been known for its ruggedness and its ability to drive over difficult terrain but has always been available with rear wheel drive. Given the popularity of the off road capable vehicles and adventure tourism, there has been speculation whether Mahindra should bring in a 4x4 variant of the New Bolero. Doing so would likely make it more capable off road and broaden the number of enthusiasts the truck can attract. But adding 4x4 capability would probably raise the cost and complexity of the vehicle, perhaps enough to take it out of its core market of affordable, no-frills utility. It tackles how far to push the Bolero in new directions without losing the simplicity and affordability that made it such a success in the first place. It also questions where such a variant fits into the Bolero's traditional positioning, and the potential market for it.
Hell yeah! An awesome 4x4 Bolero would be. Think about putting that beast on some serious off road trails. It'd put the Thar to shame!
