How does the XL6 fare in city traffic vis a vis other bigger SUVs?
As an MPV, the XL6 has six seats, but is fairly compact, compared to larger SUVs. This is a question of the vehicle maneuverability, the capability of routine management in overloaded city traffic. It also addresses the issue of turning radius, visibility, the ease of parking and driving comfort in stop and go traffic. It’s a topic that often ends up being compared to popular SUVs in a similar price range, comparing space, seating capacity, and urban practicality. As it happens, this is a topic of relevance for buyers caught between the practicality of an MPV and the popularity of SUVs in the Indian market.
It’s a lot easier to manage than most SUVs. U-turns and tight spots are no problem with the turning radius.
I find it just okay. It’s a bit tricky in length, but it fits in most tight parking spots.
The XL6 feels much more nimble than the SUV it comes from. City traffic is a breeze.
The traffic can be good because the visibility is good. And when you are trying to squeeze through narrow lanes, it does feel big.
That's not as commanding as an SUV but in the city it's actually an advantage. Easier to maneuver and park.
I believe it does a good job at this. It isn’t as bulky as an SUV, but it also gives you that high seating position.
It’s easy to drive with the light steering, but you do feel the length sometimes. Not too bad though, still better than most 7 seater SUVs.
