Does the XL6 have anything to offer over and above the Ertiga or is it just a fancy Ertiga?

Both the Ertiga and the XL6 are based on the same platform, and so the XL6 is seen as a premium version of the Ertiga. But people are divided over whether the price tag of the XL6 and the NEXA branding is justified. While some insist the slightly different styling as well as seats provides sufficient reasons to pay a little more for the XL6, others argue it’s a much more upscale feel that’s been offered. This also opens up to a bigger question of whether NEXA cars, as a whole, are differentiated enough from normal Marutis where the positioning and the cost is concerned.

It's all about perception. If you want to have that special feeling of driving something special, the XL6 has that. Functionally, they’re very similar.

I have driven both and I feel the XL6 is a tad bit more refined. However, is the price difference worth it? If you are on a tight budget, probably not.

But the NEXA experience feels absolutely worth the extra dollar, and inside the XL6 feels more premium. It's like comparing Starbucks to a coffee shop.

In all honesty, I think it’s overpriced for what you get. The differences are cosmetic mostly, and you can buy a well equipped Ertiga for less.

This is definitely not just a fancy Ertiga. I'll say it's worth it for the captain seats alone. Long trips are so much more comfortable!
