Does the Pulsar 125 Neon vibrate?

A common complaint that was associated with motorcycles, particularly in the lower displacement segments, was vibration. Since it is an entry level bike, the Pulsar 125 Neon has been scrutinized on this front. At higher speeds or on long rides, some riders have noticed the vibrations becoming noticeable, causing discomfort and fatigue. Some say the vibrations are within the bounds of what you expect from a bike like this. But this has led to debates concerning if Bajaj has done sufficient to resolve this problem in their smallest Pulsar model. The debate then usually expands to pit the Pulsar against other 125cc bikes and if its handling and features outweigh any vibration concerns on the Pulsar. One of the more common questions in ownership reviews and forums, it’s a major factor in determining whether to buy or not.

I've had mine for 6 months and yes, there are vibrations, particularly over 80 km/h. It's not unbearable, but it's definitely there. After a while you get used to it.

I really don’t think people exaggerate the vibration issue. This is a single cylinder 125cc, so a little vibration is standard. The Honda CB Shine vibrates just as much as my friend’s.

It’s not a deal breaker, but the vibrations are real. Most of it, I solved by switching to better quality handlebar grips. That made a world of difference on longer rides.

I test rode the Pulsar 125 and the NS125. The regular 125 definitely vibrates more. If it is a bother to you, perhaps try the NS version, it is smoother.

As a mechanic, I’ll tell you that most of those vibration complaints stem from poorly maintained bikes. The vibrations will be minimal, so long as you keep your Pulsar in good shape.

I guess it all depends on what you expect. I was coming from a scooter and I could feel the vibrations. My friend who downgraded from a Pulsar 220 says it is smooth!

There is vibration, but it ain't as bad as some would have you believe. That's part of the character of the bike. Buy a car if you want butter smooth!
