I'd say it is somewhere in between. It shares components, but the riding experience is different enough to merit it as a separate model, yeah.

Both I test rode, and the Roadster certainly has its own character. The Classic's cooler, more easygoing cousin.

RE being a bit lazy with this, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Classic formula works, if you can vary it a bit then that's not bad.

Sure, it might eat a little bit into Classic 350 sales, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. In the 350cc segment, RE is just covering all their bases.

I think it will confuse people. There are too many similar options and it can be overwhelming. These models need to be clearly differentiated by RE.

Japanese bikes don't have the brand loyalty that RE has. The competition will not be a problem for the Roadster.
