The journey is what it is all about, not the destination! The Bullet is slower, but you’re forced to take it easy and enjoy the ride. And you’ll make friends with every mechanic that you encounter on the way!

It depends; I think it depends on the kind of touring you’re doing. The Bullet makes for laid back rides through the countryside. However, if you’re trying to travel long distances quickly, you might quickly find you’re frustrated by its limitations.

I have toured on both modern bikes as well as a Bullet, and I would say there is something charming about the Bullet. Not the most efficient, not the most comfortable, but it has soul. All I ask is that you be ready for a more 'involved' riding experience.

In fact, I’ve found that the Bullet is actually good on bad roads on tours. With its simple suspension and sturdy build it's better at handling rough patches than some more modern bikes I've ridden.

Definitely a labor of love. It takes more care than a modern bike, but that’s part of its charm. You learn your machine inside and out.

Honestly, it's a pain. I spent more time riding with my Bullet than tinkering with it. Bikes these days are so much more reliable and low maintenance.

Maintenance can be a bit much, especially if you’re not mechanically inclined. On the flip side though, parts are cheap and you can get them anywhere.

It teaches you patience and problem solving. It's like having an old temperamental dog and it's so frustrating sometimes but it's so rewarding.
Is there still a place for India’s evolving motorcycle market for the Bullet 350 ES?

Absolutely! Indian motorcycles’ Bullet 350 ES is sort of the grandfather of Indian motorcycles. It might not have all the bells and whistles, but it’s got soul. But there will always be riders who will like that.

I think its days are numbered. Now the Bullet feels like a relic with so many great options available right now. Nostalgia is nice, but not practical for day to day use.

It definitely still has a place. Not everyone wants a computer on wheels, however. Analog riding is getting rare these days, and the Bullet offers a pure, analog riding experience.

It's all about balance. The Bullet is the kind of bike that appeals to a certain type of rider, and that’s OK. It doesn’t need to be sport bike or ADV relevant.

The Bullet will stick around but might just turn into a weekend toy rather than a daily rider. It won't be practical, people will buy it for the experience.
Is the Bullet 350's single seat really impractical for most riders?
07 January 2025 11:25
I don’t love the single seat look but it’s not practical for my lifestyle. Because I ride with my girlfriend or need to carry stuff, I had to add a pillion seat. Function over form, I guess, kinda ruins the classic vibe, though.
