I'm on the fence. I commend Mahindra for taking chances, but I fear that design may do more to limit its appeal. Perhaps it’s too polarizing to be a mass market.

As a designer, I'm impressed. It’s not weird for the sake of being weird, it’s cohesive and purposeful. It could be a turning point for Indian automotive design.

I think it's a miss. India's roads and climate are tough – those fancy creases and edges are going to get dinged up and collect dust. Sometimes simple is better.

I love the tech, but I am nervous about maintenance. In a few years, all those fancy screens are going to glitch out, who's going to fix them?

India needs these features and it’s about time we get them. Of course there are bound to be a few teething problems, but we can't continue to fall behind the rest of the world in automotive tech.

I think it's overkill. Is augmented reality and multiple screens really what we need to get from point A to point B? It seems like a recipe for distracted driving to me.

ADAS features could be a game changer for safety on our crazy roads. It'll be worth every penny if it can handle Indian traffic.

It's a double-edged sword. The question is: could these features make driving safer and easier — but also increase our dependency on technology? What happens when it fails?

There is no way it can compete with the big boys. In the luxury market, brand perception is everything and Mahindra just doesn’t have that cachet.

I think it has a shot. The tech specs are impressive and Indian made products have a growing sense of pride associated with it. And it will probably be cheaper than the Germans.

But I can’t see it stealing many sales from Audi or BMW, which might carve out a niche. Mahindra doesn’t have the decades of luxury experience that those brands have, that isn’t something that can be done overnight.

Novelty is powerful, don’t underestimate it. If it does offer something unique, a home grown luxury EV could be of interest to a lot of people.

On paper, 450km sounds great, but come on – bumper to bumper traffic, AC blasting, we’ll be lucky to get 300km.

Daily use is plenty but I would be nervous taking it on a long road trip. We don't have our highway charging infrastructure yet.

I think it's a good start. The fact is, most people don’t drive 450km in a day. It’s less about planning our trips differently and more about changing our mindset.
