Mahindra probably anticipated the cannibalization, but it’s real. Competing with yourself is better than losing customers to other brands.

XUV700 or Scorpio is too mainstream for the Roxx to make a dent. They are for different purposes.

It's just high demand. It takes time to make quality and I’d rather wait for a quality built vehicle than a rushed one.

I'd say it's overpriced. For most of the off road capability at a much lower price point, you get the standard Thar.

It's a lifestyle choice. If you appreciate the rugged image of the Thar and like the additional comfort of the Roxx, it's worth it.

Definitely, Mahindra should work on improving the Thar's on road manners. Since most owners spend 90% of their time on the roads, it makes sense to make it more comfortable for daily use.

No way! What makes the Thar special is its off road capability. If they get too hung up on on road performance it’ll just be another soft roader like every other car on the market.

I think they can do both. With modern suspension technology we can have a good balance of off road capability and on road comfort. All Mahindra has to do is to invest in better engineering.
