How does the Keeway K300 SF fare in city traffic?

The mirrors are great for spotting gaps in traffic but they stick out a bit. I have a few close calls filtering between cars.

Definitely more a naked sport bike than a true streetfighter. It’s too polished in its styling, and doesn’t have the aggressive ergonomics of a Triumph Street Triple.

At this price point, I think it's a good entry level streetfighter. A Ducati Monster is not in everybody’s pocket. The style gives newer riders a taste without breaking the bank.

The K300 SF is just trying too hard to be something it’s not. The power and the potential for customization should be more for a real streetfighter. It's just a budget bike with a few edgy styling cues.

It's a good balance for what it is, I think. It’s not as extreme as some streetfighters, but that makes it more practical for daily riding and still cool.

Ok, let’s be real, most of these so called “streetfighters” these days are just naked bikes with attitude. That's exactly the kind of phone the K300 SF is. With the look and enough performance to be fun without being intimidating, it's a winner.

It's pretty subjective the whole streetfighter category anyway. That’s good enough for me, if it makes you feel like a badass when you ride it.

It’s a good starting point for customization. With some aftermarket parts, and a bit of DIY spirit, you could make it into a pretty sweet streetfighter build.

Fit and finish are fine but panel gaps are not consistent and a few plastic bits feel cheap. You get what you pay for.

Mine has 10,000 km on it and no problems. So far everything has held up well and the engine feels solid. Long term reliability will tell time for.

The switchgear and controls are a bit flimsy compared to my friend’s Yamaha. It’s not a deal breaker, but it’s something you notice if you’re coming from Japanese bikes.

I believe that people are too hard on newer brands. Now, the quality gap isn't so big. It seems that Keeway is trying to build a good reputation.

Mine’s actually really good on paint quality. After a year of ownership, no chips or fading. In that area, they didn’t cut corners.

It's a mixed bag. Some parts feel premium, others feel cheap. Personally I’d say it’s on par with other bikes in that price range.

Keeway Blackster 250i is not available in India currently. Keeway is a sister brand to Benelli and the Blackster is expected to launch someday with the Benelli badge in India. The motorcycle comes with a 248.9 cc engine producing 19.18 BHP @ 8500 rpm and 18.7 Nm @ 5750 rpm. The gearbox linked to the engine is a 5-speed manual unit. It comes with a low 688 mm of seat height and a reasonable 140 mm of ground clearance. It is expected to be priced around INR 1.75 lakh and uses disc brakes at both the ends. The dry weight of 170 kg makes the bike quite heavy when compared to it's engine size.

Keeway Superlight 200 has not yet been launched in the country. The bike is expected to arrive through the DSK Benelli showroom and it may get a launch date on the upcoming auto expo 2106. It comes with a 197cc engine producing 12.73 BHP @ 7500 rpm and 14 NM @ 6,000 rpm. The gearbox is a 5-speed manual unit, making it good for a top speed of 115 kmph. The motorcycle gets a seat height of 730mm and not so friendly ground clearance of 120mm.

The Keeway Blackster can be launched at the Auto Expo next year. Benelli is currently focused on its mass production motorcycles like TNT 25 and upcoming TNT 15. The 250 cc, TNT 25 would launch this year and the other one may get its entry via the same auto expo route. Blackster gets a 248.9 cc engine producing 19.18 BHP @ 8500 rpm and 18.7 NM @ 5750 rpm. It may not get separate branding, increasing chances of it being called as Benelli Blackster in India. It gets 688 mm of seat height and comes with 140 mm of ground clearance. The Blackster is expected with a price tag of INR 1,75,000 and comes with a pure retro appeal.

Keeway has not launched any of its bike in India currently, but plans for the launch has been under full throttle and the brand would enter by the name DSK-Keeway. The Superlight is one of the two offerings by Keeway. The bike comes with a Classic design, resembling the old war era bikes. It comes with 197 cc, 1-cylinder motor producing 12.73 BHP and 14 NM of torque. The engine seems under powered for the bike with such a design but the actual weight of the bike is just 134 kg. The looks are rugged but it packs a lot of technology to it. The bike comes with tachometer and speedometer in two different round shaped console boxes. With 120 mm of seat height, the bike is low for the Indian road conditions and we expect it to be for INR 1,30,000.
