How does the Keeway K300 SF fare in city traffic?

by Ashutoshover 1 year ago0 views7 comments
Between frequent stops and starts, and the tight spaces city riding puts you in, there are particular challenges to urban riding. As a sporty naked bike, the K300 SF questions its capability for daily commute in a congested city environment. When stuck in jams, riders debate the bike's turning radius, clutch feel in stop and go traffic and heat management. Comfort and control in urban riding is influenced by other points of discussion, such as the upright riding position and handlebar setup. Some say it's like a smaller capacity bike traditionally used in cities, while others say the extra power gives them an advantage in quick maneuvers through traffic.

The mirrors are great for spotting gaps in traffic but they stick out a bit. I have a few close calls filtering between cars.

It's actually preferable to the smaller bikes in the city. When you need to keep up with faster moving traffic, the extra power makes it easy.

It could turn better. It can be a bit tricky to do U turns on narrow streets. It’s not as nimble as some smaller bikes, but you get used to it.

On hot days, being stuck in traffic can really heat up the engine. If you live in a warm climate, definitely something to consider.

It's perfect city riding for me. It has enough power to zip away from lights, not so much power that it’s difficult to control in tight quarters.

It has a bit heavy clutch for my taste. After a while, stop and go traffic makes my hand tired. Not ideal for long commutes in rush hour.

In the city, it’s surprisingly agile. With upright seating you get a good view of traffic, and it's easy to weave through tight spots.
