Absolutely worth it! The Elantra feels like a much more expensive car thanks to the 10.25 inch screens and wireless CarPlay. That’s one of the main reasons I decided on it over a Civic.

I didn't get the tech package and don't regret it. I’d rather have better tires or maintenance, and the base infotainment is plenty for me.

It's nice tech, but there are problems with it. They have had glitches with the digital cluster on my friend's Elantra and the dealership can't seem to fix it. Something to consider.

I believe it depends upon how long you want to have the car. If it's a lease or you're looking to sell in a couple years the tech package may help with resale value. I would definitely be worried about repair costs on this thing after it's out of warrenty for long-term ownership.

This is worth it for me alone with the ADAS features. So much stress is taken out of my daily commute with lane keeping and adaptive cruise control.

I tested both with and without the tech package, and honestly the base model felt just fine. I think the cool extra features are cool, but not game changers.

If you love tech like I do, I say go for it. Just be prepared to go through a learning curve – it took me a while to understand the features and make everything work how I want it.

At first I was skeptical of the CVT, but after a year of driving my Elantra I don’t notice it any more. It's super smooth in traffic and the fuel savings are real.

I can't stand the CVT in my Elantra. It’s sluggish and unresponsive, most noticeably when you’re merging onto highways. I wish my old car had traditional auto.

I think Hyundai's IVT is definitely better than some other CVTs I've driven. In automatic mode, it simulates shift points to give you a feeling that it’s more like a regular automatic. It's a good compromise.

Normal driving is fine with the CVT, but if you want something sporty get the N Line with the DCT. It’s a completely different experience.

The Elantra’s design is going to age like fine wine, I think. It's so distinctive, it'll likely become iconic for this era of car design. Bold moves like this tend to do.

No way, it’s already starting to look dated to me. In a few years those sharp angles and creases are going to scream 'early 2020s'. I prefer timeless designs.

Hyundai took a risk, and it's a love-it-or-hate-it design, but I appreciate that. At least it’s not another boring econobox, even if it does look dated later.

I think some of the details like the huge grille will look pretty silly in 5-10 years but the overall shape might age okay. It’s being too edgy.

It'll age better than most people think I actually believe. Check out how the previous gen Elantra still looks fresh. Hyundai's designs are always relevant.
