No, you cannot exchange a CBR250R for a CBR500R. Your best bet would be to sell the CBR250R (selling price will depend on year of purchase, variant, condition etc) and then go ahead and buy a CBR500R. The Honda CBR500R is amazing motorcycle, it is very powerful and can sprint from 0 to 100 KMPH in just 5.7 seconds.

According to the currently available specifications of the HX250R, it is a much better option than the Honda CBR250R. The HX250R is expected with a 249 cc engine producing 31 BHP and 26 NM of torque. It is expected to carry a lightweight chassis with a total body weight of around 139 kg, returning a better fuel efficiency than the heavy CBR250R. it is expected to be priced between 1.3-1.5 lakh.

The best bike serving all the above listed functions would be the Mahindra Mojo as it comes with a sensible price tag of INR 1,58,000 and performs really well for its actual value. It gets a 294.72 cc engine producing 26.82 BHP and 30 NM of torque. The values are excellent when compared to CBR250R but lacks the charms in front of the bigger Duke 390. The Mojo gets an outstanding 21 liter of fuel tank and cruises very easily on triple digit speeds. It gets exclusive Pirelli Diablo Rosso 2 tyres and tackles every surface with its excellent front USD as well as rear monoshock suspension.

Both the bikes are from totally different riding styles, making them best for their respective needs. Honda CBR250R is a great tourer, with sport biking feel and comfortable driving experience. The bike weighs 167 kg, making it quiet heavy for a 249 cc bike but also favors high speed riding. The drawback comes in the form of less sharp cornering and turning facilities. On the other hand, the RC200, being a 199.5 cc bike is quiet responsive due to its lightweight and sport oriented design. It has nothing to do with touring as track is its favorite place of riding. The seating is quiet uncomfortable for long routes, making it a short ride machine. It comes with sharp handling and cornering abilities. High speed riding, touring and decent amount of mileage is favored by CBR250R and you should only choose RC200 if you are willing to have a track ride every weekend or more often.

The Honda CBR250R would not suit you to its best as it is a very heavy bike when compared to the others offering the same interest of riding. It comes with a kerb weight of 170 kg, making it a bad option for you. You should go for the best performance motorcycle of India from a long time span, the Yamaha R15. It comes with a kerb weight of 136 kg, making it light, fast and very good in terms of responsive cornering. It comes with a 149 cc engine, producing 16.8 BHP, which makes it fuel efficient also. It returns a 40 kmpl mileage and would suit you the best, saving INR 50,000 from the CBR250R cost. It comes with a tag of INR 1,14,241. Only top speed wont make it all as take both on a track and R15 would rule the game out.

You may feel uncomfortable while driving this bike in city. But if you are OK with it then go for it. Every 200CC or above bike will have high seat height except cruiser bikes.

Honda CBR250R is a better option when considering daily use and long trips. The bike comes with excellent performance figures whereas the 150R lacks the punch of torque from its engine. The CBR250R will surely feel very good on long rides whereas the smaller engine requires continuous revving for the performance. This would spoil your long journey experience. Even in the cities, the regular gear changing can be avoided in the 250R. It produces 22.9 NM of torque and 26 BHP from its 249 cc motor. The bike rides awesome on high speeds and feels stable at 140 kmph. It comes with a price tag of INR 1,58,000.

Honda CBR250R is a good bike but it won't suit you as much as the Yamaha R15. Comparing both the bikes according to you, the R15 looks perfect as it looks low and lean when compared to the massive CBR250R. It gets a sharp twin headlight design, which is much better than the single headlight VFR inspired design of the CBR250R. R15 comes with a more fuel efficient engine, 149.8 cc liquid cooled and fuel injected. The purchase cost of the R15 comes out to be INR 50,000-80,000 less than the CBR STD and ABS models. Even the R15 comes with a lightweight design, making it to 60 kmph in 4.89 seconds only. Yamaha's precise engineering would not make you feel low through its impressive power and excellent handling capabilities. R15 comes with a price tag of INR 1,14,241.

The Honda CBR250R comes with a liquid cooled engine and the website is displaying wrong information. The fact is proven automatically when you view the CBR150R specifications. It state that the 150 cc CBR is liquid cooled and from this fact, why would Honda leave its flagship motorcycle, that too identical to the CBR150R and with more power, air cooled. You can check out the CBR250R exact details on our website, with nearly zero chances of error on each detail.
