I’ve done a few 300km day trips on my RS125 and have found it comfortable enough. The seat is ok for a sport bike and the fairing gives decent wind protection.

There is no way I would tour on this bike. An hour or so in the aggressive riding position gets uncomfortable. This is really more for short rides and commutes.

It's all about expectations. It is reasonably comfortable for a 125cc sport bike. If you’re used to bigger touring bikes you will surely feel its limitations.

I find it acceptable for light touring. Couple that with a tank bag and a small tail bag and you can do weekend trips. You won't get Gold Wing comfort, but don't expect it.

It can easily be made touring friendly with a few mods, such as a gel seat cover and adjustable levers. It’s a good platform to build upon.

I’ve toured on mine and it was fine. But the fact is that I really don’t have another bike to ride so while it’s not ideal, if it’s your only bike, yes you can make it work for longer rides with a little bit of planning.

Long rides are the deal breaker for me due to vibrations. My hands grow numb after a couple of hours. Good for commuting, not so good for touring.
Does the Pulsar RS125 suit for longer rides and touring as it is comfortable to ride?

It is more comfortable than you would think for a sport bike, but not as comfortable as a dedicated tourer. It’s a good compromise for most riders for occasional longer rides.
How fuel efficient is the Pulsar RS125 in real world riding?
31 January 2025 10:18
My experience is that the RS125 is as close as you get to the claimed efficiency if you ride sensibly. In mixed city and highway riding I always get around 55-60 km/l.
How fuel efficient is the Pulsar RS125 in real world riding?

There is no way in real life it hits those numbers. Even riding conservatively, I never got more than 45 km/l. Bajaj's claims are definitely optimistic.

The RS125’s strong point is probably the fuel efficiency. With spirited riding, it is noticeably more efficient than my previous 150cc bike.
How fuel efficient is the Pulsar RS125 in real world riding?

The problem is traffic. City riding in stop and go is a big hit on mileage. On open roads, it is much closer to what Bajaj is claiming.

Proper maintenance is the key to this. Lube the chain, correct the tire pressure, and do regular services and it will get pretty close to the advertised numbers.

In the real world, no bike ever reaches its claimed efficiency. Still, the RS125 is very fuel efficient compared to most bikes out there.

I am actually a very conservative rider and I actually exceed the claimed mileage sometimes. If you’re willing to ride for efficiency, it’s definitely possible.
Is the Pulsar RS125 a Real 'Race Sport' bike or just marketing hype?
31 January 2025 10:18
More marketing than actual race performance. The RS125 is a commuter bike dressed up to look sporty. There is no way it can hang with real race oriented 125s on a track.
Is the Pulsar RS125 a Real 'Race Sport' bike or just marketing hype?
31 January 2025 10:18
Real talk, no 125cc bike is truly “Race Sport”. However, for the class, the RS125 does provide a sporty experience. Compared to other 125s, it’s pretty racy... it’s all relative.
Is the Pulsar RS125 a Real 'Race Sport' bike or just marketing hype?
31 January 2025 10:18
The RS designation is a joke. Bajaj is just cashing in on the young riders who want to look fast. Better brakes and suspension would be on a real race bike.
Is the Pulsar RS125 a Real 'Race Sport' bike or just marketing hype?

I consider it to be a good balance. With its gear ratios, it's enough sporty to keep it dynamic and fun on the twisty roads, but comfortable for daily drives. Not every sport bike needs to be a track monster.

I can say as an owner of an RS125 that it feels plenty sporty to me. It feels like a proper little sport bike with the tucked riding position and responsive handling. It's all about expectations.
